Who We Are
The “World Headache Society” is a charitable trust with a primary mission to reduce the burden of headaches and facial pains. Our commitment lies in promoting high quality research and provision of specialized care accessible to all individuals , with special emphasis on developing countries where access to such care is often limited .
Our Objectives
Your one-stop destination for headache medicine education
Educate
To conduct distance education and skill-based training in headache medicine and to develop trainee testing in national headache fellowship programmes.
Facilitate
To facilitate student and clinician exchange programmes to have greater understanding of regional perspectives and to mentor students in headache medicine.
Assist
To assist in creation of patient advocacy groups with an aim to improve the quality of life of patients and their carers through sensitization and formulation of policy.
Empower
To empower WHS chapter countries with guidelines based on cultural and socio-economic conditions, and to set standards of excellence for comprehensive headache clinics.
